Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The staff are very helpful and welcoming towards foreigners. The washing and drying machines were great and inexpensive to use. I never ran out of clothes. Located in a quiet neighborhood. It's the perfect place to experience authentic Japanese life, including the long commute times and the infamous rush-hour trains.

Negative: The location isn't ideal. Walking to the train station can take up to 15 minutes, as you'll also need to use stairs to cross the train tracks. Even at a young age, it was very tiring for me. Also expect a travel time of around an hour to reach major city centers like Shinjuku and Shibuya. The room was quite cold due to poor insulation. The shared bathroom area and hallways were also very cold. You might want to reconsider staying here during the winter months.
